The Talmud, a written record of Jewish tradition, commands parents to teach their children to swim. Why? Some say the answer is obvious: it's important to be safe near the water. Others suggest that the answer is figurative. To grow up strong and confident, children need to try new things--to take risks under the watchful eyes of responsible adults.
At the Shaw JCC, our experienced, America Red Cross-certified swim teachers make sure children learn to swim well and practice good water safety skills. But most importantly, our teachers make sure that their young swimmers are safe and feel confident.
We offer American Red Cross Level 1-5 group lessons to children ages 4 and up, and also offer semi-private and private lessons to children and adults based on instructor availability. View the lesson schedule below, or call 330-835-0020 if you have questions.
