Cathy Baer

Membership and Sales Director

Cathy is the Membership & Sales Director for the Shaw JCC of Akron. Her professional career at the JCC began in 1999 as the Event Coordinator for KidsFair, a position she held until 2002, when she became Membership Director until August 2006. From 2006-08, Cathy left the Shaw JCC to pursue her own event planning business, but decided that her heart was here at the Shaw JCC.

Cathy has been an active member of the Shaw JCC since she and her husband moved to Akron in 1984. She is a past board member and has held numerous volunteer leadership positions in the community. Growing up in Canton, Cathy learned at a young age the importance of volunteerism from her parents, both of whom were very active in the Canton community.

Cathy resides in Akron with her husband Mark. They have two children, Daniel & Andrea.
