Dave Rubens

JCC Maccabi Games Director

Dave has worked at the Shaw JCC since 1992, including positions as summer camp staff, camp director, youth director, BBYO city director, fitness staff, and most recently, director of the 2008 JCC Maccabi Games. Dave, who is a lifelong resident of Akron and a graduate of Firestone High School, holds an associate’s degree in community services from the University of Akron, a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Kent State University, and is currently working on finishing his master’s degree in sport science from the University of Akron. Dave has been a JCC Maccabi coach and assistant delegation head for Akron, and more recently, the combined Akron-Canton contingent. All together, Dave has five years of JCC Maccabi experience.
