Suzuki ECE classes are an extension of the internationally known Suzuki method. In this program, a group of mixed age children meet weekly to build concepts and skills laid out in the Suzuki ECE repertoire while interacting with one another, their parents, and the teachers. The parent, who is the child’s first and most important teacher, plays a central role in all activities. Simply put, our program aims to build on the child’s natural delight in learning and lay the foundation for future learning.
During each weekly 40 minute class, your child will enjoy singing, movement, instrument playing, and listening. School readiness skills such as sharing, taking turns, following directions, and pre-literacy activities are part of every class. Each class is paired with a parent who participates in the music activities with their child.
Our goal is to offer a stimulating, rich, and unpressured environment working in partnership with parents. In this environment, children learn from one another, and each child is encouraged to participate at his or her level. Through repetition and various activities, we’ll help your child gain mastery, add songs and activities to their repertoire, and gradually participate in more sophisticated ways.
